Coastal Stride

By Sarah Hoyle

I've created this page because I want to make a difference.

Did you know that brain cancer kills more people under 40 than any other cancer and more children than any other disease?

I’m fundraising to help change these shocking statistics.

Cure Brain Cancer’s mission is clear: unite our community to increase brain cancer survival and quality of life.

Any amount you can give will go a long way towards funding innovative and groundbreaking research. Together, we can help make finding a cure for brain cancer a reality.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Saddling Up for a Cure: One Woman’s Ride Across Tasmania for Brain Cancer

Friday 31st Oct

Riding for Mum Across Tasmania for Brain Cancer Awareness

In 2016, my beautiful Mum, Ginny, lost her battle with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Mum was only 54 a radiant soul who was sunshine in human form. She loved the countryside, horses, and the simple joys of life. Her diagnosis came suddenly, and within just a week and a half, we had to say goodbye. My family was left in shock, and it has taken nearly a decade to find the strength to channel that grief into something meaningful.

Now, in 2026, I’ll be honouring Mum’s memory the best way I know how  riding my horse, Juno, across Tasmania, from Devonport to Dover along the Tasmanian Trail. This journey isn’t just about distance; it’s about hope, healing, and helping to find a cure.

I’ll be funding and completing this adventure entirely on my own, camping along the way, sometimes joined by friends or family, but mostly riding solo  just me and Juno, carrying Mum’s light with us every step.

Through this ride, I aim to raise funds and awareness for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, supporting vital research and families facing the same heartbreak we did.

Please watch, share, and support my journey  for Ginny, for every family touched by brain cancer, and for the hope of a cure. 💜
