Running for a cure

By Maya Ackroyd

I've created this page because I want to make a difference.

On Sunday 22 November, I'll be taking on a personal challenge to run 50 km over three days to raise money for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.

I'll be kicking things off with a half marathon on Sunday before continuing my challenge on Monday and Tuesday, pushing myself physically and mentally for a cause that means a lot to me.

This challenge is particularly close to my heart, as brain cancer has affected a family that means a lot to me. Seeing the impact this devastating disease has on not only the person diagnosed, but also their family, friends and loved ones, has made me want to do something positive to help.

Brain cancer affects so many lives, and I want to use this challenge to help raise awareness and support research towards better outcomes for those affected.

My goal is to raise $500 for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help me get closer to that goal and contribute towards this important cause.

If you're able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. If you're unable to donate, sharing my page to help spread awareness would mean just as much.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read my story, supports my challenge and helps make every kilometre count. 💙
