Every step has a reason

By Jessica Woodman

I've created this page because I want to make a difference.

I’m taking part in a 10km military inspired obstacle course run to raise money for brain cancer research, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. In 2016, I lost my grandad to brain cancer, and witnessing firsthand the impact this disease has on both patients and their families has stayed with me ever since. This experience is one of the many reasons I am becoming a nurse. I want to be able to support people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives and help make a difference through compassion, care, and advocacy. This run is my way of honouring my grandad’s memory while contributing to a cause that desperately needs ongoing support. Every donation—big or small—helps fund vital research, improve treatments, and give hope to those affected by brain cancer. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for supporting this cause. Your kindness and generosity truly mean the world to me.

Did you know that brain cancer kills more people under 40 than any other cancer and more children than any other disease?

I’m fundraising to help change these shocking statistics.

Cure Brain Cancer’s mission is clear: unite our community to increase brain cancer survival and quality of life.

Any amount you can give will go a long way towards funding innovative and groundbreaking research. Together, we can help make finding a cure for brain cancer a reality.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
