Croatian Club: The Origin Story
In 2024, for my 21st Birthday we held the first edition of FOB's Birthday: 400 students on a Wednesday night in May at the Croatian Club, dancing into the early hours of the morning. Now two years later we are celebrating the third edition, having raised nearly $5,000 over the past two years for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
Why the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation? I lost my father to Glioblastoma, the most common and most deadly form of brain cancer, in 2018, just under 2 years after he was diagnosed. Whilst I may not have the opportunity to spend more time with him, the greatest present is the chance that, with your assistance, others may have that chance with their respective loved ones.
Each year hundreds of Johns ressies have flooded into the Croatian club, drinking moonshine, tearing up the wooden dancefloor, and diligently cleaning the bathrooms with soap... I know this year will be no different.
