Walking 165km in July for Gail

Walking our way to 165km to raise money for cancer research.

This July, Harrison, Emily and Sully (when he isn't napping on the couch) are taking on a challenge to walk 165 kilometres to raise money for brain cancer research.

We are doing this for someone very special to us—Harrison's mum, Gail.

Recently, Gail was diagnosed with an aggressive and devastating form of brain cancer.  The uncertainty, fear and heartbreak that comes with brain cancer are difficult to put into words, but they are realities that Gail and our family now face every day.

We can't take away Gail's diagnosis, but we can do something. With every kilometre we walk throughout July, we want to honour Gail's strength, raise awareness, and help fund the research that gives hope to patients and families facing this terrible disease.

Brain cancer remains one of the most challenging cancers to treat, and glioblastoma in particular urgently needs more research, better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. Every donation made through this challenge will help support the scientists, doctors and researchers working towards that goal.

For us, this isn't just about reaching a distance target. It's about walking for Gail. It's about walking for every family whose lives have been turned upside down by brain cancer. It's about turning our love, hope and determination into something positive.
