Walking for Brain Cancer Research
Thursday 22nd Oct
Over the next 45 days Belle and Claudia will each be walking 5kms per day, amounting to 450 kms between us in an effort to raise money towards brain cancer research.
This challenge is done in honour of someone very special to us - our Aunty Donna.
Donna has been diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. This news has been devastating to Donna, her husband, daughters, and close family and friends.
Despite the grief, fear and sadness that has come with this unfair diagnosis, we have been so inspired and proud of the determination and fight in Donna to remain in this life for as long as she can. Her only wish is to spend as much time as she possibly can with those she loves most.
Belle and I are unable to change her diagnosis, but we can fight in our own way. And so for the next 45 days we pledge to walk for Donna, and for brain cancer.
The money raised will fund imperative research that could improve quality of life, extend life expectancy and increase the likelihood of finding a cure.
We would greatly appreciate any support in this time, whether that be in the form of a donation or simply to share our fundraiser page to as many as you can.
