In Memory of Janette (Wardy)

I've created this page because I want to make a difference.

Janette (Wardy) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in May 2020 and after surgery to remove the tumor, fought the battle of her life against this aggressive cancer, for just over 18 months.

 Our Wardy passed away peacefully on 06/01/2022.

 In memory, as Janette was always a philanthropic person, who supported many charities, she would have preferred people donate to help find a cure for this insidious disease.

2026 Jill & Wardy's 5th Annual Commemorative Brewery Bash

LOCK IT IN YOUR DIARIES, CALENDARS ETC - 14 March 2026.

The history to this event lies in the last big outing that Janette (Wardy) and my surrogate, illegitimate, adopted, de facto big sister, Jillian did before both girls got sick.  This was a Marrickville Brewery Crawl finishing up the evening at Keg & Brew on Foveaux St in the city.

So that's why the venues are set.  In 2023, we attended Stockade and that evening was the day it closed its doors. So a different list of breweries will be the go for the 2026 Bash.

The important things about the day are:

1. Raising funds and awareness for Brain Cancer Research.
2. Hanging out with awesome people.
3. Drinking excellent beverages.

11:30 kick off at Batch Brewing Co - 44 Sydenham Road, Marrickville.  Then every hour we wander on to the next brewery.  

The whole day's walking is around 30minutes.

Feel free to join at the start, or any of the breweries along the way, or even at the end of the day for drinks and food at Keg & Brew - 26 Foveaux St, Surry Hills around 18:30-ish.
