More funding is needed for brain cancer research, let's make it happen
Professor Andrew Thompson or Thommo as he is better known was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2025. Thommo is a lifelong research scientist and his diagnosis has highlighted how much more research is needed to help brain cancer sufferers. Through this page and the associated Strava club - https://www.strava.com/clubs/1858801 -we want to raise awareness and research investment
The plan is to run, walk, ride or row 2000km in 2026 to allow the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation to do its job even better.
