For Dad.
Thursday 4th DecEvery year, we light up our family home for the Sydney Children’s Hospital. A place that once became our own home. Those lights have always been our way of giving back, of saying “thank you,” and of spreading a bit of hope to anyone who needed it.
This year, our Christmas lights carry a different kind of glow for our family — one filled with love, remembrance, and hope. Two months ago, we lost a great man, our dearest dad Bob, after an incredible 13-year battle with brain cancer. We experienced thirteen years of treatments, setbacks, courage, resilience, and moments that reminded us just how precious time really is. Losing him has left a space that can never be filled — but it has also ignited a new purpose in us.
We wanted to honour Dad’s long, brave fight and to help raise awareness for an illness that affects far too many families. Brain cancer research receives less funding than many other cancers, yet it remains one of the most aggressive and devastating.
By lighting up our home this Christmas, we’re hoping to spark conversations, spread awareness, and raise funds that will support vital research and, ultimately, bring us closer to finding a cure.
If you would love to come and have a look at our Christmas lights display, or to even take some photos with our inflatables and props, we are located at 28 Silvester Way, Gledswood Hills, 2557.
We want to thank you all in advance for taking the time to read our back story and for shining a light with us this year. ✨
