For Dad, For Dennis, For a Cure.

By Deanna McGill

I've created this page because I want to make a difference.

Our dad, Dennis, has always been the person who puts everyone else first. He’s the one you call when something breaks, when you need advice, or when you just need a steady presence. He’s a devoted father, a hard worker, and truly the heart of our family.

Recently, our world was turned upside down. What we first thought might be something minor became something far more serious. After a sudden trip to hospital, Dad was diagnosed with Grade 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive and terminal form of brain cancer.

In a matter of days, everything changed. He underwent brain surgery and, while surgeons were able to remove most of the tumour, we are now facing the ongoing battle that comes with this diagnosis, fighting for time.

We are taking part in this fundraiser not only for Dad, but for every family like ours, who have the unfortunate fate of facing brain cancer.

Glioblastoma is one of the most aggressive and complex forms of cancer, yet it remains one of the most underfunded and under-recognised. Through this fundraiser, we hope to raise awareness, support vital research, and contribute to a future where, one day, there may be a cure.

If you are able to donate or share our page, it would mean more to us than words can express.

Thank you for standing with our family and helping us support this incredibly important cause.
